Is that GPA unweighted? If so, you’re in the competitive mix for Duke; candidly, however, I don’t see anything that you’ve reported that separates you from 2020’s large (certainly >25,000) “distinguished applicant pack.” By chance, have any of Duke’s coaches contacted you (or have you contacted them)? If you’re qualified and interested in playing at the ACC-level, that (plus ED) could be decisive.

What major? I know for cornell and berkeley engineering, you pretty much want to be 3.9 UW or higher.

If you’re good enough to be recruited for a sport at the D-1 level, your 3.5 GPA might not even be a strike against you.

Are you a California or Virginia resident?

If I were you I’d try to get my SAT score up a bit more, as well as find some leadership positions in your extracurricular activities. Depending on whether you’re East Asian or South Asian or Southeast Asian, Affirmative Action may or may not be a limiting factor.
