<p>hey, im a California resident, and I really really wanted to get into ucsc (uc santa cruz). Im in a tough spot though. My (high school) sophomore gpa was a 2.5, and my junior gpa was a 4.0. I had no Aps or Honors, and I took really really easy classes. I followed the UC guidelines, and my sat score is a 1900. Do you think I will get in?? also I have been on th academic decathlon team for 3 years and the track team for 1. Ive been really worried lately. Have I messed up too much?</p>
<p>i think you’ll be fine for santa cruz, sat and gpa are spot on, youre ec’s are fine. don’t stress too much, you’ll get in most likely :)</p>
<p>Competition was tough at the UC’s last year, they are taking many foreign and out-of-state students who can afford full tuition! My son will be attending UCSC in the fall…4.3 GPA 1900 SAT. They say UCSC was the back-up school for many kids who were borderline for Berkeley and UCLA, so it is not such an easy school as it was to get in to. 49% of the freshmen are in triple, by the way!</p>
<p>i got in it with waaaayyyy lower stats than you, however this was last yr, && i chose ucr over ucsc, don’t really like the idea of being called a ‘slug’ if you know what i mean haha</p>
