Can I get into UCI?

<p>I have about a 3.65 unweighted and 3.8 weighted gpa..and about a 1650 on the SATs and 24 on the ACTs...Shooting for higher on both the SAT and ACT
ECs:
Dance
Volunteer at the hospital
Cultural activities every year for about 4 years now..
tutored elementary kids
Ice skated for 2 years
Volleyball camp.. and a few more
and if i have a decent essay..
what are my chances at UCI and other UCs?</p>

<p>I would say UCI is a reach simply because of your relatively low W GPA and SAT scores. However, UC admission is becoming a lot more holistic, so you might have a good chance if you write amazing essays.</p>

<p>I would suggest applying to UCI as well as UC Davis, UC Riverside, UC Santa Cruz, and UC Merced.</p>

<p>Average GPA: 4.0 UC weighted. Average SAT: 1870. If you’re from a rural area where few go to UCs it’s easier.</p>
