fyi i know alot of u guys will be unimpressed ( im not a 4.0 2400 harvard dude lol) but i wasnt that motivated in school. i want get ucla and uc berkly maybe but my counselor said i dont have strong chance but i have a little chance at least.
i apply for other ucs but idk if they even good i just am scared to leave californai tbh .i got 1700 sat (fyi some people said take 3 times but i did it 5 times will they penalize me?) and okay gpa . but i stepped it up quickly).
FYI yea i did do researching and see my “stats” arent stellar but i improve and am great person, Scores dont make me up.
11th grade i took ap classes to prove i am ready for college. i dont consider myself academic becuase i dont put much effort to school but i am pretty inherently smart (i do good without any study).

ec- i think these are pretty good
most important - i am master tier in league of legends (pc MOBA game). may not sound impressive to people who dont play the game but this is less than top 1% of all players and i am very skilled in game. literally millions play this game. i talk in essay how this game is my passion. it is my getaway to transcend the world- in game i am god and am free. There is true dedication really. i spend over 5 hours playing evryday of the week. i have met with pro players and collaborated so i have real life experience with the game. i went to a tournament hosted by the creators of the game, riot, and i was a “VIP” guest and got to tour office. pretty sick.
also pretty good at video games in general- i dominate in every single game i play- very competitive
moderator for live gaming streams (on twitch.tv) - actually time consuming but entertaining too
i play guitar (am amateur)
i play basketball ( city team- im pretty good, i score 15-20 or more points per game)

guys i know this isnt rly good and i even know chance is like 1 forth ;(. even though i havent been the best, i really want to suceed in education. i regret not working harder. genuinely i do. but do i have any shot i am scared my parents will find out. thank you.
ps - is it true i can go to jc then transfer easy to ucb or ucla after yr (just incase i dont get accept)
UCLA/UCB’s provisional admission contract requires that you maintain a UC GPA unweighted of 3.0 with no D’s or F’s in your Senior year. Your D could jeopardize your admission and you could face being rescinded if accepted.
You need to focus on feasible schools not those which (you should know) are out of reach for you. I doubt it would be “easy” for you to transfer from JC to those UCs either, if you continue with your trend! (Sorry! My honest opinion).
You are supposed to help him, not intimidate him and satisfy your own ego. I bet you guys won’t do this in real life but only on the internet. Grats to all the rude one’s who have just proven how dumb they are and crushed this poor guy’s heart. A decent NO would have been enough.

0 chance at either of those schools. Try UC Merced and Riverside. By the way, speaking as someone who has used twitch before and knows exactly what you are talking about, adcoms wouldn’t care at all. Be more realistic. You’d be wasting money applying to these schools.
If you go to a JC, you need 60 semester/90 quarter units- Junior level status, before you can transfer so usually 2 years at the JC. If you do very well at the JC, then yes you can transfer to UCB/UCLA. Where else did you apply? Any safeties?
You have 10 A, 11 B, 3 C, and 6 weighted courses, which gives you a 3.54 UC GPA and a 1700 SAT. That doesn’t guarantee you into any UC, but you might have a chance at UC Riverside or Merced. Definitely not UCLA or Berkeley though. Also, UCs don’t count senior grades for admission.
Considering this post doesn’t seem like it had effort at all, no one would take you seriously in College Confidential. Take time to actually spell correctly (There is an auto correct for a reason).
First, your grades aren’t that stellar for high level Universities like Berkeley. Receiving A’s and B’s averages aren’t competitive enough for Berkeley standards. I would recommend to get mainly A’s and around a 4.3+ Weighted GPA.
If you received good scores on the AP exams, then that would be a huge advantage in showing that grades aren’t what make you up; however, you’ve provided no information on that to us.
Also, you SAT score is way too low. The competitive mark is around a 2000-2100 range, yet you only received a 1700.
Your extra-circulars seem decent; it’s good that you’re in sports.
I would say Berkeley or UCLA wouldn’t really be a good reach for you. There are varieties of Universities in California, you just need to search for which is best with your level.

Being grammar/spelling police (and this includes other posters) seems to me like a waste of time on internet forums unless you are reviewing an essay or something similar. It is essentially off topic unless the post is indecipherable. Far more meaningful to get to the question asked, especially in a case like this where the odds for Berkeley or UCLA are basically zero. Easy on, easy off.*
I admit my removed post was a bit too harsh, but for me (and likely a few others), it’s often hard to tell if a poster is serious with text lingo and misspellings all over the place.
Those aside, the best solution for the OP is to improve the chemistry grade to a C or better, and hope for the best.
If you want others to take you seriously, take yourself seriously. Some grammar errors even made me doubt your decency in English…I know this is not the case but, Berkeley and UCLA are highly renowned schools, if you had looked up a little stats or done a little research, you’ll know that there’s no need to post this thread.
Hope for the best. If you really like Berkeley or UCLA and if you are willing to fight hard for these schools, I’m sure the best result is coming.
^^ Sorry but your grammar isn’t all that hot either. You switch tenses and your word choice is poor. Why don’t we just stick to answering the questions posed as fallenchemist suggests? I also think OP has little or no chance for UCLA and Berkeley. I also think being a video game master who spends five hours a day gaming may impress some AOs but may completely turn off others. I would be in the latter camp but it may be a generational thing.
