Can I get into UCR for 2015?

<p>I am junior in high school and a Californian resident and I go to a highly competitive school. I am really worried that I wont be able to get into any schools! The top school I want to go to is UCR. But I don't think I have a chances because of my grades.</p>

<p>I want to major in Political Science, and minor in Journalism.
I am first generation, and Middle Eastern (heard that helps).
Community Service hours: 150</p>

<p>I think you’re good if you raise your GPA, public schools legally can’t support affirmative action anymore so don’t count on that. You’re test scores are super great, but inconsistent with your grades, so it depends on how the officer will interpret that.

<p>I agree with hopefulRomanian. If you can raise your GPA this year, you will get in.</p>

<p>Thanks guys! So if I get a 4.0 on my next report card, I might have a chance!
Plus, I know for sure Ill get good recommendations from my teachers!
And I know for sure Ill be able to submit an excellent essay!</p>

can i get into ucr with an unweighted gpa of 3.0 with an sat of 1730?
i was on varsity tennis for four years and was captain my senior year. i also was part of the orchestra for about three years
