okay so i applied to UCR UCI UCSD UCSB & UCLA. i know ill get into ucr but im 90% sure i wouldnt wanna go aha..anyway, im not trying to sound cocky. im just worried i might not get accepted anywhere else..

Alright so im a senior in a really competitive high school...im top 14% but i have a 4.1 gpa (senior year i have 4.6)
i have taken 6+ ap classes
SAT:1740
ACT: 25
those are the only reasons im worrying bout not gettin in...:/

extracarriculars: basketball team for three years. MVP freshman year, captain of jv team, went to state playoffs. have scholar athlete awards

got hired through youth employment program (for the city) worked for 4 summers. also have a job now. i worked for the 2012 presidential election

i have 200+ volunteer hours. mostly coached at the YMCA and then at the boys and girls club

been in key club, CSF, and JSU - vice president

speak fluent english, armenian, and been taking four years of spanish!

My personal statements are really good also!

oh and my school's API is like high 800's... i also wanna be either a psychology or criminal justice major

Ok so from what I see your gpa is good and sat is average. Plus you have good extracurriculars and leadership. Try to find your uc gpa and your schools competiveness helps.overall you should be ok.

UCLA: reach
UCSB: low reach
UCSD: reach
UCI: high match
UCR: In

But your ec’s are good so that will definitely boost it up. Good luck.

oh my 10-12 gpa is actually higher …and i got accepted to ucr recently with a scholarship aha…
ik my SAT is whats killing me, but guess i cant do anything bout that anymore
thanks!

no offense taken, im not looking forward to going there anyway so its all good… but i mean theres always that 1 in a 100 chance right? haha
i mostly have my goals set on santa barabara and san diego thanks !

Sorry but I’m not well acquainted with the UC’s, however I will say your EC’s are quite impressive! Your test scores are on the lower end of UCLA but if they can get passed that I’m sure they’ll see what a great applicant you are

You have very impressive stats. I’d suggest you retake either the ACT or SAT just because those are sort of low. I think you will definetely get in to more than one of those schools although UCLA may be a bit of a reach, but you never know. The college admission process seems pretty random.

Because UCSD is more selective than UCSB. If I were you, I would happily go to San Diego. You might be a fall 2013 applicant (I am too), so you have no chance of increasing your SAT scores. Never mind, you seem to have a lot of athletic preferences, and I think you’ll make it to UCSD. UCLA? I don’t think so. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but UCLA is very much out of your reach. Unless you have something outstanding in your app, there are low chances that UCLA will accept scores like that.

wait so if ucsd is more selective than ucsb how is it possible i have a greater chance at ucsd?? lol i dont get that !
and oh yeah its cool i dont mind, i really wouldnt go to ucla anyway, its too close.
