Thank you for your comments in advance! I appreciate your advice/criticism.

GPA is a little low, but you have a strong junior year. Your test scores are excellent and you have demonstrated a passion for science. Write a great essay. I think you have a good shot. Best of luck.

Glido,

Thanks for your comments! I’ll definitely try my best to write some good essays. Thank you!

One question:

Why do you want to bump it up to EXACTLY 3.7175 haha. (I just find it funny you’re basically trying to predict your score to the 4th decimal point)

Anyways, it’s probably a high match with your GPA (but amazing standardized tests scores, decent ECs)

Your GPA is low which UMich put higher value on than other institute, however, you scores are really great. That may simply indicate the tough grading system at your school. On the other hand, you have intended major from different schools. Are you considering double major or they are just your top choices? You need to apply to either LSA or CoE. You need to decide as soon as possible as the EA deadline is coming up soon. In either case, you should be a match for CoE and and low match for LSA as in state student even considering your low GPA.
By the way, you need to write 2 supplemental essays and on CommonApp essay. If you have not started, it may be too late to write good ones. Also, make sure you have your scores sent as soon as possible. They want to received them by Nov 1 deadline for EA.

@Truust, 3.7175 is the highest GPA I can get if I get all A’s Senior Year, so I’m shooting for that haha. Thanks for the comments!

@billcsho, I really hope my scores can compensate for my low GPA. I’ll be applying to LSA where I can major in both CMB/BME and Physics. I’ll apply to LSA first, and then CoE my third year. I will be applying EA and I’ve already started my essays. They should ready by the deadline. Thanks for the advice!
