Can I get into UofT (University of Toronto) ? Help! International student

Hello!
I need help/another perspective on whether or not I can get into Uoft

I am a British student currently doing A levels

I am interested in applying to social sciences (economics) at uoft st. george
My current predicted grades for A levels are:
Business - A*
Economics - A
Accounting - B
Maths - B
My GCSE grades were 4 A*s, 4 As and 1B

In addition to these grades, I am actively involved in voluntary projects/community work, I dance and I also interned at a very big multinational company during the summer!

Can someone please help me and reply on whether or not you think I have a chance at getting into UofT (my first choice college is University college btw)

@uoft711 Social sciences is not as competitive as other programs. U of T will pay particular attention to your English grades for admission. It is possible that last year’s grades will be sufficient and you will be admitted early (January or so). Your extracurriculars will not matter at all to U of T admissions. I think you have a good chance (but I’m not that familiar with how British grades are viewed).

You will require calculus for the economics courses. If admitted, you will have to apply for the economics major or specialist at the end of first year. You will need to get at least the minimums on the courses listed https://www.economics.utoronto.ca/index.php/index/undergraduate/load/overview The average course grade for these courses is about 68-70%.

hey thanks for the reply, it honestly gave me the reassurance and confidence I needed. I don’t do english at a levels anymore (it is not compulsory and only 2 people in my grade are doing it ahah) but I did get an A in English during my GCSEs so I think that would be enough? And also, is there no way they would review my extracurriculars? Like do they not require a personal statement or something like that?

No personal statement for U of T undergrad admissions unless you are applying to engineering, commerce or architecture or Trinity or Victoria Colleges. The English at the GCSE level should be fine.
