<p>I am applying to UPenn early decision undergrad as a freshman for fall 2014. I am applying to the main college:</p>

<p>GPA: 3.72 unweighted / 4.12 weighted</p>

<p>11th Grade: </p>

<p>AP Lang: A-/B+
APUSH: B+/A-
Honors Pre Calc: A-/A
Bio: A/A
Honors French: A/A
Creative Writing: A-/A-</p>

<p>My school offers 9 AP's and next year I am taking 4, so I will have taken 6 out of the nine. </p>

<p>I am retaking the SAT's but the first time I got a 2020</p>

<p>Math: 600
Writing: 740
Reading: 680 </p>

<p>I took US history, Lit, and Math II subject tests but have not gotten the scores yet. </p>

<p>I have been competitively horseback riding since I was seven and that is my main extra curricular. I am nationally ranked and am training for the junior olympics 2014. I have competed at national championships and placed in the top three. In addition, I also participate in student store, peer mediation, write for the Newspaper, edit the Lit Mag, and was a part of the Uniform Steering Committee and Equestrian team at school. </p>

<p>I do community service every summer at my riding stables and I also volunteer at the Westside Children's Center. </p>

<p>Can I get in.</p>

<p>Your GPA is definitely lower than what Ivies would like, and your SAT score is below the bottom 25% of kids they accept. If your horseback riding is special enough, it might be able to get into U Penn… But remember this is an Ivy, so I would probably put this at a Reach/High Reach.</p>
