I had a very weak freshman year gpa due to a death in my close family. I have improved tremendously since then and the grades I received do not at all reflect what I know and my current work ethic. Im so motivated and driven and learning comes so easily to me that Im very upset that I will have to send these grades to schools. Mostly because of my freshman year, my gap is a 3.3 I was not allowed to take any AP’s honors because of my school policy (I go to a very difficult college prep private school in Chicago). These are my transcripts (they’re horrible try not to cry)

Since I am a junior I have not taken these classes yet but with my current grades and the classes I will have next year, I’m confident that these are the grades I will have. As you can see Ive done very well on the ACT but I am retaking it hopefully to get a 36. For my ec’s I founded multiple clubs including Polish Club, ACT Prep club (offers act prep for students who might not be able to afford a tutor), and Vet Club (as in veterinarian). I am also on the exec board for medical club. Since I’m bilingual, I’m very involved with my polish heritage. I started a nonprofit organization last year that helps connect students from polish schools in Illinois with children in Poland so that they can communicate via written letters (like pen pals) I have a website u can check out if u want (unitedbylanguage.org). I also took a B2 level polish proficiency test and I scored in the top 5%. Do you think that with these ec’s and if I got a 36 and if I wrote a good essay I have a chance at USC? It really is my dream school and it makes me very frustrated that something I did freshman year impacts my life so much today.
