Can i get into VA Tech's REALLY competitive architecture school?

heyy, i was just wondering what my chances of getting into va tech are. i have already applied to va tech's architecture school for interior design, but i really dont think i'll get in:

SAT's: 1220/1600; 1820/2400

GPA: 3.5 (but my current gpa is a 4.1 so my cum would be a 3.8 in the spring if i keep my grades up)

COURSELOAD: my all girls school is very competitive, and i've taken about ten honors courses through my 4 years but only 1 ap, AP Lit, this year. also several art classes because thats what i am interested in and i think it ties into my future in interior design

ACTIVITIES:
-4 yrs. newspaper (section & photo editor for 3 of the years)
-4 yrs. Gold Key Club
-3 yrs. track & xc (not too good)
-3 yrs. Spanish club
-2 yrs. Spanish Honor Society
-2 Outside Art classes: graphic design @ moore college of art (half scholarship to that) & advanced drawing & painting at pa academy of fine arts, which counts as an honors credit towards my gpa
-HOBY Ambassador 10th grade
-Got a scholarship to spend a month in ireland doing community service (alzheimer's center)
- volunteered at an animal hospital from 7th-10th grade
- just got a job at a pottery painting place in september
- designed & made our school's xc website

WHAT SUCKS: when i went to visit va tech, i spoke with the head of the architecture dept. and he asked what my sat's & gpa were, and i said like 1220 & a 3.5, and he gave me a skeptical look and said well "transferring in is always another option." i figured that kind of settled it, not getting in, but do i have any chance whatsoever based on my other stuff?

& i forgot to add that their architecture school is 7th in the country and they only accept around 60 students (according to the director)... so i feel kind of screwed.

just apply; give yourself a banging essay.. like give it all you got.. maybe if your personality really shone through your essays...

I mean even if you don't get into VA tech, your grades are still good enough for good schools. if worse comes to worst.. go to like a good school with a good arts department, and major in that.

thanks except va tech didnt want an essay, they wanted a SHORT personal statement
