Can I get into Vanderbilt with this?

could i get into vanderbilt? im a junior now

780 math (think i cud have gotten an 800 last SAT)
750 crit (pretty sure i have at least a 770 after past SAT)
650 writing (if i got a 12 on last essay, i think i can get a 760 at least)

im taking the SAT in october, going for 2350+

i've been in about 3 clubs, cpt. science olympiad next year, and 2 time XC state championship team.

...also, do criminal offenses appear to colleges? as in drug/marijuana/alcohol related?

It’s not entirely clear if you’re asking if those stats will get you in or offenses will keep you out.
I think Vandy gets plenty of applicants with great stats who do not have criminal offenses so
they probably don’t want or need the latter.

You’ll have to report previous offenses on the Common App…don’t know how heavily they’ll play in your admissions decision, your stats are definitely good enough.

haha oh no, i’ve never committed any criminal offense. i was just wondering on behalf of a would be roommate perhaps (if we went to vandy)
all right i’m hoping for the best then.
thanks mates

Have you lost your mind! Of course you do not want to even think about having a roommate with drug/alcohol proclivities. Particularly with a record. If he gets busted in a room you share, you get busted too.

Smarten up in your choice of friends!

If he gets busted in a room you share, you get busted too.

thats just not true

well he’s clean now, we wasn’t even that bad in the 1st place, family troubles is all.
you get busted too?

You should just start carrying around a backup supply of “gift” money to avoid these types of things. Hell, break one law, might as well break 'em all! Infallible logic, please don’t attempt to refute, I’m way too busy worrying about the sudden disappearance of the worst thread to ever grace this library anyway.
