So my dream school is Vanderbilt. I would absolutely love to attend there for college, but I'm not sure if I would even be considered for admission. My ACT score is currently a 25, but I'm retaking it this month. I'm a Junior in high school. I am currently enrolled in AP lang & Apush and am making low A's in each. Next year I plan on taking more AP courses. My weighted GPA is 4.8 and nonweighted is 3.7. I am president of an environmental club at my school, also an active member of Honor Society as well as Prom Committee. Do I even stand a chance?

With that ACT score, the answer is very simply no.

You need to bring your ACT up to 30-33.

Otherwise, you might want to try the SAT and score 2,000-2,100+

I would say that your ACT would have to be a 32 or higher to have a decent chance. The students that I know that applied with 30/31’s were waitlisted or rejected.

Yea, my plan for this ACT is reach the 27-28 mark, and go up again in April. Luckily, my score always goes up. So if I get a 31, what are my chances do you think?
