Can I get into Villanova?

*GPA: 4.2 out of a 4.6 scale (4.2 is like an A-, 4.3 starts an A) That's my weighted gpa though...but I've only taken 2 AP classes and 2 honors classes (before my senior year) so it shouldn't change that much...

I'm white & female (New Jersey resident)

Villanova is my first choice but I'm worried now because I didn't apply early action and a lot of people from my high school are applying there, mostly good students (and most who applied early action) and I've heard that Villanova only likes to take about 2 students from each high school.

I've also heard you have a better shot of getting into Villanova if you go to a Catholic high school and I go to public school....

My second choice is Elon (NC) but I'd rather go to Villanova because it's closer to NJ...

You're fine for Villanova.

Really? Because I applied regular decision and I know at least 20 other people (and I know there has to be more) who applied to Villanova, most of them have a better or the same rank as me and most of them applied early action.
And everyone is telling me Villanova really only takes two people from each high school so that will definately hurt my chances....And my guidance counsoler told me my SATS really hurt me for Villanova.

Your gpa makes up for the scores....and Villanove does not have a cap on how many can come from one school.

As for going to a public school or private, it does not matter.

Also look at schools that don't require scores like: Holy Cross, Dickinson, F & M, Hobart & William Smith, Bates, Lawrence U, St. Lawrence, Gettysburg, Ursinus, Juanita, Wheaton (MA), Hamiton, Bowdoin, Pitzer, Mt. Holyoke.

Thank you IsleBoy for answering :). I think it's probably still a reach for me though...any other opinions?
