Can I get Into Wake Forest?

I am applying to Wake Forest, Rollins, Furman, Occidental, and New College of Florida..
My first choice being WF.

I will most likely study something along the lines of engineering or economics.
My unweighted GPA is araound a 3.8 with weighted being a 4.3.
My freshmen and sophomore years I had all A's and B's with no B-'s. junior year I had straight A's. each year my schedule became harder with more honor/AP classes with my grades rising at the same time.
the honors /AP classes I have taken/took are: H English 9/argumentation, H Geometry, H sophomore English, H Chemistry, H Algebra 2/trig, H World studies, H Junior English, H latin 4, H physics, H precalc-calc, AP Physics, AP Stats, AP Calculus BC, AP microeconomics (really enjoying micro so I will see if I can switch inti AP macro next semester)

ACT: First Try: 27
Scond Try: 28
Hoping to take it one more time and get a 29-30

EC's :
NHS, varsity dance team (co-captain), studio dance, subdy achool, yearbook, school newspaper (editor), assistant coach of the middle school dance team, was on fundraiser committee for school, lots of volunteer work including tutoring at my Hebrew school, tutoring in general, helping out the school office...

I have received numerous awards in the area of dance including "rookie of the year" and tip three in my solo three years in a row. My dance team has also placed top 4 in state every year...
I received the quill and scroll award for my journalism work
Received the homestead merit award all 4 years
not sure if this will help me at all, but before I went to high school I went to the Wisconsin Center For Gifted Learners, where I never wrote papers, took tests or had any grades...
also I am half iranian, my father was born there...

Thank you so much for the help, any advice is greatly appreciated!

Also, WF does not require standardized test scores, do you think if I can’t change my score it would be better to send it in or keep it out? Thanks!

Wake isn’t much of a reach. Your grades seem fine and you have a hard course load.
I had pretty much the same grades and amount of AP’s but a 32 on the ACT and wake forest was a low match for me.

Thanks! Do you have any other ideas for schools? I am looking for a smaller liberal arts school that still has some of the opportunities that larger schools have, somewhere preferably warm :)

Bump…

I’m only familiar w/ Wake Forest (I’m applying there too!). & I’d say that you’re in. On collegeboard a 28 is in the bottom of the middle 50% so that’s fine to submit. You’ve taken all of the right classes and have strong ECs.

You might want to look at William & Mary in VA. But, their testing is a bit higher. You could also look at U of Richmond in VA. It has about 3000 ish students.

Chance me back?

Richmond is good for business, not so sure about econ. Nice stats, though, our GPAs are about the same, and i just got a 27 on september’s ACT (also taking oct) and am hoping for higher. Not sure about sending in a 27 since i know 28 is the lower end of the 50%, so I’m begging for a few points higher haha. Good luck applying, and I think if your essays are good enough you’ll be an average candidate

Thanks!
Ellebelle527- I really would like to chance you, but really I have no idea what I am talking about… Sorry good luck with all your applications!

Bump…………
