No.
/* adlkjfklds;kla */

Not no. Possible, but unlikely.

Possible but unlikely.

Two problems:
1. you're white, and as if that weren't bad enough, you're probably heterosexual, too

your hockey focus is admirable, but Penn hasn't had a hockey team since Meyerson axed it sometimes in the 1970s. Actually our ice rink is slated for demolition in the current campus master plan. Given how utterly hideous it is, this is for the best.

No don't apply its a waste of time. Try Univ of Richmond or Vandibilt.

don't listen to these idiots, anything is possible. if wharton really is your first choice, go ahead and apply ED. i think you have a decent chance.

You have a shot. Don't listen to the people on this site. A lot of them are pessimistic and think you need a 2400 to get in Ivy Leagues. I have an Asian friend who got into UPenn with a 1900 on his SATs.

You have a shot, a decent one, so don't let people on here get you down. Improve the SATs a little maybe but other then that you are a perfectly legitimate candidate.

SATs aren't that important. It's just a crap shoot. You need the right combo of essays, sats, grades, recs, ECs, and other stuff. No one knows what that combo is, so noone can give you an accurate chances assessment.

What's your class size?

You said you are ranked 75, out of...?

I definately think that you should apply ED. Great improvement on your SATs as well. Maybe retake a few SATIIs if you have time, but you've got as good of a shot as any. Sorry that it might seem so ambiguous, it is just with Penn as well as other super sompetitive schools it is pretty much like a lottery as to who gets in. ED will help your chances some too. Good luck!

I appreciate the help everyone. iAppler my HS is ranked somewhere near 75 in the nation...my rank is like 1-3% most likely top 1% but im not sure and thats out of 5500-6000 other students in my county in my graduating year. I will be retaking my SAT IIs again before ED but not my SAT Is because quite frankly im 100% positive my CR will go down and im not quite sure bout math so i dont wanna do it again. Ill be taking Math II (scored 730 exactly on 4 practice tests) and then im going to self study bio and physics cuz i heard that theyre easy to self study and have generous curves? Good idea? anyone else have any input. Thanks a lot!

Also, what do u think about my other schools listed? Thanks

Bio and Physics would be hard to self study if you didn't take either class in school this past year. Also, 800 on MathIIC always seemed standard to me for top top kids applying to programs/schools that require the Math SATII (or maybe I just know too many smart people) but if it's 730 on Barron's practice tests, you should get an 800 on the real thing. US History is an easy one to get 650+ on without studying.

Frankly, nothing stood out, but nothing (save test scores) was bad. You can get in, but don't count on it. If Wharton is you're #1 choice, just apply early and hope for the best.

• National Honor Roll
• Who’s Who Among American High School Students
These are both ******** :D

I know lmao....I sent this to my aunt at Lehman Brothers so she could circulate it and so I could intern with her next year so the more awards the better right. Also, maybe its just because im analyzing my own stats but hockey is definitely a centralized focus throughoput my entire app. Travel hockey, rec hockey, summer camps coaching and playing, volunteering for hockey, being ONE OF THIRTY refs to be accepted to a ref camp open to teh nation to apply (im 16) and I could apply to be a lvl 4 (considered professional caliber) right now if I wanted because I completed all the prerequisited for lvl 3 but my age limits me from going on with that level so im just going to wait. Anyway thanks for your opinion Venkat.

I don't believe in these threads because they are rarely accurate (except for bigs state schools that are very numbers based). These threadsaren't god and don't tell you anything that you already don't know. You knew that you have a good chance at Wharton and that it's so competitive that the chances you get in are slim.

Emory-slight reach
Notre Dame-match
NYU-reach
Georgetown-reach (more than NYU)
Villanova-match
BC-match
WU st. Louis-reach (more than georgetown)
Wake Forest-match
UF-definite
UM-match

FMHS, I don't think JohnnyK was trying to be mean. And why does being called a heterosexual offend you?

btw, improve your SATs a bit and you should be as good a candidate as any.

"Go Johnny K you must feel so cool now that you called someone a heterosexual online...does your mommy let you say that word you stupid @$$."

^^ yea, why would you be offended by someone calling you a heterosexual... no one's trying to put you down so I don't understand why you have to be such a baby
