I already applied ED to W and M, and was deferred, but my guidance conuselor called up their office and the response was that I was on the fringe of acceptance, and that the ED application pool was extremely competitive (too competitive for me I guess)

AP Physics 4
90.3 GPA unweighted, 94.5 average for first quarter of senior year, school does not weight grades or rank class, however, I think I'm in about the 30th percentile of my grade. Yes, my grade is ridiculous.

Junior year: Precalculus, AP Physics , English 11 Regents, Spanish 4, Global History
I only finished my AP Physics course with a 75 average, but started with a failing average, then improved average by 30 points. My physics teacher wrote one of my recommendations, and throughout the year he was obviously very impressed with my improvement.

Both of my essays are very good and I am pretty sure both of my recommendations are good also.

Although William and Mary didn't adequately describe why I wasn't accepted in the ED round, they made it clear that they were impressed by my recent improvement in school and my SAT scores. They also made it fairly clear that one of their main concerns was with whether I could keep up my new relatively high average. If I get similar grades for the second quarter, do you guys think I can get in in the regular round?
Thanks for any response.
