Can I get rescinded for a C+ in AP Calc BC?

I currently have a C+ in AP Calc BC for the first quarter of my senior year. I think it’s unlikely to budge from that C+ barring some miracle. If I get into my EA’s, would this be enough to result in a rescinded offer? Would this hurt my application for RD schools? Throughout high school, I’ve always maintained A’s and two B’s every year.

What kind of colleges are you looking at? Are you a STEM hopeful? While one “C” isn’t likely to get you rescinded AFTER acceptance, whether or not it hurts your chances of getting an acceptance in the first place depends on the selectivity of colleges and programs you’re hoping for.

I would strongly encourage you not to give up yet. Hire a tutor, join a study group, get help whenever it is offered.

I have never heard of a school that will rescind for a single grade that was not a D or below. Of course if you get a C the 2nd semester then you have 2 and they might review your acceptance (UCLA, for example, requires students to notify them if they get 2 Cs senior year or any grade below a C).

You could ask your counselor or your EA schools if any of them will see your senior grades at all before your Mid-Year Report. Very possibly they won’t. If that’s true, you just have to make sure your first semester grades are good enough. Having A’s and two B’s again should be fine if that’s what you’ve been doing. Having one C+ might be OK, but obviously try hard to avoid it.
