Can I get rescinded?

So I was accepted into Cal Poly, but I’m really nervous that I might get rescinded because of the possible D I might receive second semester in Multivariable Calculus Honors. I was able to pull off a C first semester, but I’m not 100% sure I’ll be able to do the same this semester. All my other AP classes are fine, and my cumulative GPA has only dropped .1 [to a 3.7]. I emailed Cal Poly’s admission explaining my situation to them, and they replied asking for my transcript. So basically my questions are:

 1. How long will the re-evaluation of my admission take after I send in my official transcript?
 2. Is there a high chance I might be rescinded if I don’t bring up my D?
 3. Has anyone gotten into Cal Poly with a D on his/her senior transcript?

The re-evaluation takes up to two weeks at most. Ultimately it depends on how critical the class is to your admission to judge how much of an effect it will have on Cal Poly’s decision to keep your or not. I don’t think one D will be the end of you, but I would work my hardest to avoid it if you still have time. I’m pretty sure there have been students who’ve had one D on their transcript going into Cal Poly, so don’t worry. Stay positive and don’t let people tell you you’re doomed, you’re going to get a lot of different opinions from the admissions advisors so keep your cool. You need a positive mind set so you can do well in your last semester. Best wishes!
