Can I get residency while attending cc?

<p>I want to go to UT Austin, I'm an out of state student so my tuition would be $33,000. If I don't get in there or another school I like I was thinking about ACC.</p>

<p>If I go to ACC am I eligible to get residency or do I have to wait a full year before doing any schooling?</p>

<p>Gaining residency is pretty difficult, and it also depends on the state. In most cases, you can’t gain residency while going to school.</p>
