I want to graduate one semester early but I'm not sure what Michigan's policy is for AP credit transferring. I hope anyone could help answer this for me. I have received a 5 on Bio, 4 on Euro, 3 credits from St Johns (AP Spanish class), and I should get a 4 or 5 on one of the exams I took in may. In total I would expect to have at least 15 credits which is equivalent to one semester. With these scores I should be able to graduate one semester early correct? I am in LSA honors.*

Search “umich.edu ap credit” or something like that and you’ll see the scores you need ti get and what credit you earn.

I came in with over 30 and I’m only on pace to graduate a semester early because of the prerequisite track if courses. (A -> B -> C etc.)

But that is engineering, there might be more leeway in LSA fir whatever you are majoring in.

It all depends on if the credit you get matters and if there is a specific order you need to go in fir ur major. And you should be able to figure that al out.

You can graduate a semester early even without any incoming credits – you just have to take more credits/semester.

Just a heads up, AP credits don’t count towards LSA distribution requirements. They often only help you in reaching the 120 credit requirement for graduation. IB HL credits, on the other hand, will fulfill distribution requirements.
