Can I have some advice about SCORE VERIFICATION - Jan 2012 SAT please??

Hello, I took the Jan 28th SAT and I have some questions about it.

First off - I am an international student but after lurking around the threads here, I think my questions were the same as US version...?

The question I have is about the math section. And the math section had questions from this thread: <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/1281686-sat-january-2012-math.html?highlight=january+math%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/1281686-sat-january-2012-math.html?highlight=january+math</a></p>

So I got 740, which is the same as my previous SAT (when I had 3 incorrect answes.) This time, I got 1 incorrect answer and 1 omit. The thing is, I never omitted anything. It says that I omitted an easy question too. I'd never omitted an easy question. I guess worse-case scenario is that I made a bubbling error :s I really wanted to improve my math section, so this is why I'm disappointed. I know the increase would not be significant, but in my case it actually might be pretty helpful.

My questions are:
1. what would -1 give me without the omit?
2. do you think it's worth it?
3. how long does the verification take? I already applied to the universities I want to go to, and the results are coming out late march, right? So would it be done in time?

If you have any experience with verification, i'd like to hear about it too (:

That omitted question could be one of those grid-in questions. Make sure that you didn’t make any silly mistakes during the grid-in process. From what I gathered on this forum, -1 is a 760 for the Jan. SAT test.

It really isn’t worth the trouble. I don’t see a difference between 740 and 760.

Send a PM to this thread’s http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/1294029-my-sat-score-changed.html</a> topic creator. He/she should know the whole deal. From what I hear, verification seldom results in any corrections.
