Has anyone even experienced that much of an improvement themselves? if so i really need your help
My weak areas are science and reading which ive been getting 24s. strongest is english which i usually get a 28-30 and math i usually get a 27 or 28.
Does anyone have any advice that will help me improve in any of the subjects to raise my score?
as of right now im planning on doing 10 math questions a day from the princeton review and i am going through the The Real ACT prep guide. Im taking the test again in june.

The Real ACT prep guide is the guide I used after I got a 29 on my ACT the first time. While it just may have been an anomaly the first time, I actually improved my score to a 34. Now, my weakest subjects were the same: science and reading. And while my reading only improved by 1, my science improved from a 26 to a 34. The thing I found the most helpful is to go through the guide and time yourself for each test, trying harder each time to read and answer EVERY question on the test. The main reason people don’t do well on the science is because of the time constraint, but if you can master that, you are golden. Just imagine going from a 24 to a 32 in the science. That’s instantly 2 more points on the ACT. And then doing it on the reading is another 2 points, for a combined 30 composite. Of course, as you go through it, you may be getting better math and english scores, so the reading can fall behind a little. BUT MAKE SURE TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE SCIENCE AND DO ALL THE PRACTICE TESTS.

thanks so much! ill definitely try that

No problem. This is just what helped me the most.

I got a 30 the first time i took it without studying anything, and the second time i took it i did a few practice problems from each subject and i got a 33… just being familiar with the types of questions asked, what it feels like to take the test, and how to take it improves your score i think =) the hardest part was getting everything done on time… especially the writing.

To start off, the poster above me is a complete idiot.
I have a high gpa (3.935) UW with AP/Honors and I got a 26 two times.
I then got a tutor for 3 lessons (25$/hr), I got lucky, and I increased my score to 29. It’s really determination and how much you want to improve.

on my practice test, i got a 25, which i was not too happy about. when i took the real test, i got a 28. when i retook the test 3 months after that, i got a 31. so a 6 point increase isn’t too bad haha
