I am currently pledging a fraternity as a freshman but will be transferring next year. If I cross over but don’t get initiated, can I join a different fraternity at my new school?
I’m only considering this because I want to be involved in Greek Life wherever I am, and this could possibly be the only option when I transfer.
I spoke with some of the actives at where I currently am and they told me that it’s fine if I join a different fraternity because they don’t want me to not have friends/brothers for the next three years.
just dont get initiated and you will be fine, if you are initiated you cannot join any other national fraternity.
So if I cross over but don’t get initiated Ill be good?
Won’t you be initiated before you transfer next year? Are you talking about transferring in the spring of 2018 or the Fall of 2018? Not sure what you mean by crossing over, but you can’t pledge another fraternity after being initiated into this one. Do you know if there is a chapter of the fraternity your are pledging now at the school you intend to transfer to?
