<p>Harvard admits that "buying" your way in is quite possible. Every year they take several developmenty candidates, people who have given or have a strong possibility of giving high seven figures. How do you propose buying yourself in if you're not rich?</p>
<p>that doesnt necessarily get him in. i kno someone who was a national merit comended or whatever, had 2300+ SAT, decent GPA, double legacy at UPenn, and his parents had donated millions of dollars to actually have a building built, its named after them...this person got REJECTED...so clearly money doesnt mean that much</p>

<p>I love how you think that it's going to take hundreds of millions of dollars to get some kid admitted. I think if you played your cards right, showed interest in the university, and a low level of failing miserably, you could probably get in for aroudn a million.</p>
