My school is currently using naviance to track and send our transcript to US universities. I am confused by what is written on the website. It shows that there are 8 applications to xxx college in 2017 and 1 student is enrolled. But how is it possible? Since the ED round have just ended and RD is yet to open?(I applied for ED, I am wondering if that’s me) I remember the last time I have checked it is 2 months ago and it shows 0 ppl enrolled. It’s really weird…
and also I noticed the national range for respective schools tend to be inaccurate (at least different from the official stats released by the uni on the official website)
Helps appreciated thanks!
Many D1 athletes are admitted very early on, so that is a possibility. There could be a student starting spring semester as well.
@CADREAMIN I don’t think its athletes as my school is not in the US and our school year only ends in December. I applied for ED and im wondering if it could be me…
College does not send status to Naviance. The status in Naviance is self-reported by students. You can click on the status and change it to anything you want – Applied, Accepted, Waitlisted, Deferred, etc. It’s likely that someone accidentally clicked Enrolled.
You can give it a test. Tomorrow change our application status to “Accepted” and see if the stats change. Change it back later if you want.
I see thanks for your help!
Oh so you are doing that kind of fishing…Well you will just have to wait and see. Naviance at your school would not be updated before a student is notified. In our naviance system and the schools I am familiar with, the school updates that info (either counselor or student themselves). And the counselors do not know before a student - they are not notified. So no, that is not you.
2017 refers to last school year, through spring 2017, not the current admissions season.
2017 refers to last school year, through spring 2017, not the current admissions season. Two months ago the school probably hadn’t updated Naviance and has since done so.
It’s not.
The HS does not update naviance - that’s the HS’s responsibility. Don’t try to look for the back door for admissions decisions - you’ll just drive yourself crazy. Just sit tight and wait.
