--ill prob end up at UF and also apply at cornell just for the hell of it

UF is a safety for me right? also can i make cornell?
should i apply anywhere else, and money is a major issue?

Everything looks fine so far except for the SAT score. You need to get it up at least another 200 points, so I'd recommend doing some serious prep. How is your rank? I'm just curious. Your grades and classes look to be pretty strong, so I'd say your chances look to be pretty good at UF(though I am not too familiar with this school). Hopefully you'll be able to get your SAT up much higher...I've seen people go up 300+ points.

Also, you mentioned that you are hispanic. Could you elaborate on this? I believe cornell makes the distinction between various hispanic groups (puerto rican, chicano, cuban, etc) and I think it makes a difference.

i know a girl who got into cornell from my school and she is at most 50% el salvadorian and she was born in the US. She had a mediocre rank and not that great SAT's and she got in ED, I think mainly because she marked Hispanic on her app.

Rumor also has it that she also got down and dirty with the Head of Admissions, but that's another story...

I don't think that, if you were applying this year, you would get accepted to Cornell with a 1080. You sound like you are a compelling applicant, but in that range they have to seriously question whether you will be able to graduate. However, the SAT is you know it will be administered for the last time in a few weeks. Take the new SAT, do well, and you will have a very good chance.

average SAT at cornell is around 1400. unless you have excellent essays, recs and ecs, id think cornell may be a reach. but hey, nothings impossible
