dogglefox: double major is something I’m thinking. first, what is the difference between double major and a major/minor? Does Berekely offere both choices? If so, does double major take much longer (one more year?) to complete?

for a major as opposed to a minor, there are generally a few more courses to take. most people with double majors graduate in 4-4.5 years… just use your AP credit to pass out of courses where possible (ie. calculus, cs) and you’ll be fine.

i personally had a lot of room in my schedule, so i’ve been taking grad cs/stat courses (machine learning, natural language processing, time series, etc.)

Without submitting financial aid applications/having financial need, you are only eligible for alumni scholarships/regents scholarships. For that, your scores are on par and if you do write good essays (yes, they do read the essays for this! my interviewer specifically mentioned things I wrote in my essays), you have a shot at getting the regents’ scholarships.
