Hi im currently a junior at brooklyn tech and i just took my second sat in which i got a 1930 i jumped from a 1810-1930 in
2 months and now im trying to hit a 2000+ in my last try . I want to apply to Barnard and cornell. and i wanted to know if i could make it. my average currenlty is in the low 90s and i have a lot of extracurricular work. I attended a 6-8 week all girl STEM program which i had to write essays for and also go through an interview process for (i did this over the summer). I have been shadowing a doctor for a year and a half, i have volunteer experience at libraries, hospitals, and nursing homes. I am vp of the greenthumb club in my school, i am in nhs, i have been on the honor roll for 3 years, and i have also done volunteer work in pakistan over the summer. so far have taken ap bio, ap physics, ap euro, digital electronics, and design and drafting of production.and next year i will be taking human anatomy, ap psych, genetics.
I know this all jumbled up and just thrown together but with everything that ive listed and said do you think I may have a chance? due to my school name and my extra curriculars?? and i also will be trying to bring my gpa up and as well as my sat score.
idk about barnell, but cornell is an ivy, so get your gpa and test scores up. Lessen your Ecs for a bit, they are really good. of course you have a chance. It is literally a lottery nowadays, but make yourself stand out with the CA essay and your ECs.
yea im working on my scores and all the ecs are done during breaks and days off so i can give time to school but tysm !! and barnard is like the all girls school of columbia
