I took the ACT 2 months ago for my first and only time.
I received a very low score in comparison to my SAT, but wasn't concerned about it, because colleges choose only the better of ACT or SAT.
The Common App is asking for my highest ACT scores in addition to SAT scores, but I only took the ACT once and the scores will certainly be detrimental to my admission at top 50 schools.
Do I have to report my ACT scores? Or can I simply leave that blank?
Even if I'm supposed to report them, can I still not? Is there any way for them to find out I took the ACT and didn't report it? Thanks.

You can leave them blank. Commonapp is allowing you to input anything you have taken. You mainly need to follow what the schools you are applying to require you to do and there is no school that requires you to report both.

well if the school doesnt require it, its not worth posting then. just the sat scores will do the job.

Thanks a lot you two. This makes me much more comfortable.
I’ll just report my highest SAT’s and wait two more days for the November results.
All looks good…
Another somewhat related question-
Is it too hackneyed to write my optional essay about how my father inspired me?
