So I plan on transferring to a UC for fall 2022. I am currently taking 4 classes, and 3 of them I will be getting an A in, and one of them I would be getting an B. I still have the option to P/NP the class that I would be getting a B in. Do you think I should do this, and am I allowed to P/NP GE’s?
For clarification this class is intro to chem which satisfies part of the science requirement for IGETC. I am not a chem major and chem is not at all part of my major prep either.
It says that a “pass / credit” grade may be used to satisfy IGETC as long as the policy of the community college is a pass or credit grade is equal to a C or better. If the community college includes C- or D within its range of pass/credit then it won’t be counted for IGETC.
If you need that class for something in addition to IGETC, then you should look into that for grading as well. For example, if that is a required class for your major then you may not be able to take it pass/fail.
