<p>I think what you need to understand is that UF is super-competitive for in-state students and maybe more so for out of state students. My son got in but I know a lot of kids from his school with similar stats. You need the GPA, test scores, great ECs and a solid essay and even then, there is no sure bet. The Admin we spoke with on our tour said that to really focus on the essay (if you have everything else in line) because often times that is what can set you apart. Good Luck!</p>
