Basically, I have a full ride at a public college where, in order to get good housing options, I need to put my deposit down now.
I can totally withdraw, but do some schools not allow you to accept another offer?

Yes you can. You would just need to withdraw from that school if you deposit at another school. Other than ED applications I have never heard of a school where you can’t withdraw at a later time, but if you have any doubts be sure to read the agreement over carefully.
And congrats on the full ride!
You can do this, but you can’t double deposit. If you change your mind, you need to tell school #1 when you does it at the other school. You will then probably lose your deposit at school #1. Personally, I think this is unethical for schools to require a non-refundable enrollment deposit prior to May 1 to reserve housing.
Awesome, thanks. So I just have to withdraw before placing another deposit.
