I’m thinking about putting a link to a picture on my common app essay to show the reader(s) what I mean.
Would that be a good idea?
Can you do it? I guess if the common app supports links it may work.
Should you do it? That’s a different question. If your essay depends on the reader clicking on it, I would think twice. What if they don’t bother? What if they are reading hard copy and can’t click on it?
I reaaaally don’t think you should but that’s just my opinion.
You can, but be careful–readers are busy, and if your essay hinges on the link, you’re taking a risk that readers who don’t bother to click it (or who view the essay as a hard copy) will miss something important. In general, I always advise against this sort of thing, @lalabob .
