Can I put it on resume

I'm trying to mail son's resume, counselor letter, etc this week. Can I go ahead and put National Merit commended scholar even though I haven't gotten official word? I am a homeschooler and he scored a 209, so I know he will be.

Are you sure he isn’t a NMSF in your state?

I suggest you say he is a “Top-scorer”, which has already been verified and has no less “standing” than a commended scholar.

Positive In Texas you need a 216 and I emailed the guy on here and his name wasn’t on the list

Well, you don’t need my permission, but I’d say go ahead.

I put it on my resume last week since my counselor emailed me and received a letter today saying I needed to keep it confidential until the 12th. Oops! :P

Ds’s resume reads:

National Merit Commended (projected, based on 214 PSAT score)
