I'm a junior and I'm really interested in architecture. The main portfolio schools I'm looking at are Pratt, RISD, and Syracuse. I'm an editor for my school newspaper which means I create all sorts of layouts (page designs). I get really creative with them. Would that he an acceptable thing to put in a portfolio? My main reasoning for thinking it could would be demonstrating my spatial awareness, but I'm really not sure and would love to get a few opinions. Thanks!

It think it would be a good idea for you to add one or two page designs to the portfolio you submit for two reasons. First, showing creativity is very important and you say yours can show that. Second, since one normally adds a short blurb about each addition to the portfolio, you would probably be able to say something interesting about the page design that may help you stand out. Good luck to you!

Thank you! That helped a lot!
