Please tell me that this is possible. My strengths are math (33), English (30), and Writing (10). Other than that, science (26) and reading (27)were weak, but reading was a drag because I didn't care at that part for some reason. But for Science, is it possible to quickly improve?

Sure it is.

Practice, practice, practice. Buy McGraw Hill's 10 Tests and the Real ACT Book, and more if you want. Do all the Sparknotes online tests (you can do all for free if you're wily enough to manupulate the system ;)). I bet it's the time that bugs you on the science. Well, set yourself a max of 30 min to complete the science section. After a few tests, you'll hopefully be doing that. A 5-minute leeway would be great for checking.

I have the same problem as you do and similar stats. Science I feel is easier than reading for me as I don't necessarily need to read the passage to understand what is going on.

I recommend you buy the Princeton Review ACT book. It has excellent strategies for the reading section as well as the other sections.

I went from a 29 to a 34 with about 20 hours of prep.
I have found science and reading the easiest to get good scores on. I got a 35 on reading on both my 29 and 34 test.

how do you improve science? I got a 23 which brought my score waaay down.. so any advice besides going straight to questions?

Well even though I didn't get a perfect score on science, I think not understanding one or 2 sections killed my score. After all, the science curve is pretty bad. But for science, I think reading the passages are useless. I was able to directly answer the questions just by searching for the answers and I know most people would say the same.

Yes, I agree with what tenacious said. Although I'm yet to take the real thing (Oct), this strategy has been working for me.

As for reading, it basically is just understanding the passage and properly construing it. If you're able to do that well, you'll get at least a 33. A few questions contain vocab, but they're pretty easy as well. And READ the passage well before answering the questions (but maybe this works for me because I'm a fast reader). Sometimes, I don't even have to go back to the passage while answering! (I've never gotten below 35 in reading on any of my 5 practice tests till date FWIW)
