Can I raise my 24/25 ACT?

So my dad is making me take the ACTs for the third time in September (***.). I really don't want to, but he said the only way I can get a laptop earlier than next summer (before I go to college) is to score a 28-30 on the ACT.

He really wants me to get a higher score so I can apply for more scholarships and have a really good place for college admissions.

My first ACT (April? May?) I got a 25. I took a prep class and studied a little.
My second one (June) I got a 24.
I was really disappointed, mainly because I studied even more for June. But I went up in the scores that I wanted to raise, but down in the ones I didn't want to change. lol

SO my question to you guys is, is it possible for me to get my score at least up to a 27?

And what books do you recommend? For June's test I borrowed a book from the library - PR. It really helped a lot in the math section (which I did a lot better in).
But should I go buy the latest PR? My library's ACT books are always gone by the time ACT rolls by and I'm stuck with some old edition.

Yes, it's possible. I improved from a 29 to a 34 in less than a year. I don't have any suggestions on a book (I self-studied and used a pdf of math worksheets that I found on the net)

But if he gets a 34, he wont get the laptop. He needs a 28-30.

It is possible, but it depends on how much effort you put in.

Um, I'm sure if he pulls off a 34 his father will be more than happy to buy him a laptop.
