Can I raise my ACT score in a month?

So right now I’m planning to take the ACT for a second time in July. The reason why I plan to do this is because for me it’s really hard to prep and keep my grades up. So I would start hard core preparing for the July ACT when school gets out (late May). My first score was a 26. Is it possible with about a month of prep I can raise my score to at least a 29 maybe even 30? Also any ideas on how I should prep, how many times a week, etc. I know I will be really committed to it so I’m going to do everything possible to get my score up. Also please let me know if you have any books that were really helpful in preparing.

If you start now and sign up for the ACT question-per-day, you’ll be in better shape when school lets out. It’s only a few minutes per day but it can keep you in the groove. Get your question first thing in the morning, answer it, check the answer, you’re done for the day.

Did you prepare before you took it this time? Did you run out of time on any of the sections? You don’t say how your score broke down last time - what was your weakest point? I’ve seen suggested that you should concentrate on the area where you are weakest or where you ran out of time earliest.

If I were you, I would make sure to work on math on a daily basis to keep your skills fresh.

Yeah I’m finishing pre calc this year so I feel like my math score should be higher. I’ll definitely take your advice @RKmom

Absolutely. I went from a 27 to 33 in a month just by doing some practice tests on my spare time and then 33 to 35 in one week of 2-hours-a-day studying. You can totally do this, my advice is to notebook all your mistakes by hand and read over all of them, and make sure you know why you got them wrong. Seems tedious but it really works. Good luck !!
