Hey guys, i was wondering if i can raise my act score from a 28 to a 32 in one month, i bought the ACT real prep book and i'm planning to study and practice at least 5 hours a day everyday.
My problem is that i took the act without any kind of preparation just for trying when i already had a 2230 sat score; i'm applying to Stanford and this school requires me to send all my scores, act's and sat's. As you may know a 28 could be very detrimental for me (international student asking for a LOT of fin aid) so the big question is if is it possible to raise my score by 4 points for the december test date. Thank you very much in advance for your inputs.

Why would you bother when you have 2230 in hand?? A 32 is well below 2230.

You don’t have to send your ACT scores if you send your SAT scores. Just send your SAT and work on your college app rather than study for ACT

I believe that if i have taken the act stanford requires me to send that score also, although i’m not completely sure because they don’t make that part very clear in the website. Btw, according to the ACT-SAT comparison table a 32 in the ACT is approx. a 2210 in the SAT, so is it possible to raise those 4 points in one month? I’ve got everything else done. Thank you very much for your responses.

The 2210 or 32 ACT is still less than 2230 SAT. You don’t have to send the ACT score. It makes no sense to take ACT again. If anything you could take SAT again.

Thank you very much for your inputs, bgmargate i just want to know if it’s possible because i have already paid for the test and i’m using the december sat test date for a couple of extra subject tests, can i raise my score?
jfarmarucla, you’re probably right i found the table in wikipedia lol.

Anything is possible, it’s just not likely you’d raise your ACT score 4 pts.

JFA is correct. You’d nneed to get a 34 to match your SAT score. Your wasting your time.

Honestly, if you try really hard, nothing is impossible. Just keep taking practice test after practice test. In my opinion, that’s the best way to raise your score.

My son raised his ACT score three points with self-study. I’d say study hard, do your best, and see what happens. You’ve already paid for it, so you have nothing to lose.

Thanks for the inputs, jfarmarucla how unlucky lol, i hope that doesn’tm happen to me.
TXMom, yes you’re right i’ll do my absolute best and see what happens.
