Can I re-correct a FAFSA? Please help!

Hi guys,

My family and I submitted a FAFSA with last year's estimates in January.
Last night, we corrected it with current tax information.

We went through and submitted mine, but when we went to do my older sister's we had marked down on hers from the first time that we do NOT have more than $34600 (or some number like that) in assets. However, we do. I am wondering now if I wrote that we don't on my own FAFSA, because I know that something like that will change our EFC and aid.

So basically, I need to go back and check to see if I put yes or no for that question, and if I put no I need to correct it. But when I log in the FAFSA website, it just says "Current Status: Processed Successfully" and gives me the option to see my Student Aid Report and Corrections; however, when I click on those, it just redirects me back to the "orocessed successfully" page.

Someone, anyone, please help! I am freaking out.

It takes a few days for your update to process. You should get an email when it has been processed. If you can’t view your SAR, make sure you have disabled any popup blockers. Did you use the Data Retrieval Tool to make the updates? If so, don’t change any of those fields, but the asset questions are not among those fields.

In other words- if I wait a few days, I can update again?

Yes, it generally takes a few days. Though if it says processed successfully when you log in to fafsa, you could try viewing your SAR and try updating with your popup blocker turned off. But if it doesn’t work, wait a few days for the email. When you updated last night, you did actually sign(student and parent) and submit the changes, correct?

Yes, we entered the PIN’s and virtually signed and everything. Thank you for all your help!
