Would anyone with a supplemental or commonapp essay mind if I read it? Specifically, the CALS supplemental essay. Thank you

Why would someone share their essays with you? It is a bad idea.

Haven’t a lot of people done that? I always see posts where people send a message with their essay to someone else so that they can read it.

For my supplement for CALS, I explained my evolution of my interest. Compared to other applicants’ essays, I’m sure it was kind of weak, but I think it shows my strong interest… We’ll see how it works for me :\ haha.

Thank you. I’m not sure about mine, I’m kind of elaborating on my internship, maybe my biomed program at my school…idk

Over the years I have read about plagiarism on college essays. It is hard to prove who was the original writer. Why put yourself in that position?

Yeah I guess your right. Just wondering, what about all of the people who say, “PM me and I’ll look over your essay and tell you what I think”? How do you know these people aren’t plagiarizing?

Most aren’t, but you have no way of knowing.

You have to research anyone who says they want to read your essay, to see if they’ve only ever posted to ask people for essays. I’d say you would get better responses if you asked for general ideas, rather than specific essays.
