Also, when you receive your green card (and I doubt there is any guarantee that it will be in two weeks unless you received that information at a hearing), I don’t think it comes with a SSN. My daughter did not receive a SSN automatically with her green card (although it has been many years). It is faster to just go to SSA and request one.
