Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask for some advice on what sort of circumstances warrant harvard rescinding my admission, and also what sort of a course load am I expected to maintain having been accepted?

In the UK, universities give you an "offer", for example stating that you may attend Cambridge University "if you achieve A*AA" in your A-level subjects, and you either meet the offer and go, or not. In the US and for Harvard, I understand that this works differently and the offer of admission is not conditional?

I am also considering dropping one of my A-levels because I would like to have more time to concentrate on my other subjects- but I don't know how admissions officers might view this decision ?

I am already taking 6 other A-levels (quite a lot compared to the average A-level student who takes 3-4), so dropping 1 out of 7 a-levels probably shouldn't be such a big deal.....but I just don't know and would really like your advice on what Harvards reaction might be to me asking to drop a subject in order to concentrate on other subjects which I enjoy more, as well as having more time to concentrate on my sport (for which I am on the national team).

Can anyone shine some light on what harvard's stance towards me dropping an A-level might be?? Perhaps someone has been accepted to university in the past and has decided to not complete an "AP course" or class which you originally stated that you would be completing on your uni application?? What was the outcome?? How did admissions react?

I would really appreciate anyones help and advice on these questions. :)

Thanks in advance.

PS: Ive seen this post already:

But was looking for some more specific advice given my situation as an international student
