btw these supplements are for the same school

sounds awkward, why would you?

For more info, please look to my other essay about yatta yatta

Dont do that.

It’s just that my answer for the supplement questions (where I have lived and why Brown) are somewhat related and I’m not sure how to connect them without it sounding awkward. To be honest, it is kind of hard to fit both answers (a short one for why Brown) into the 100 word where I have lived prompt.

muhammad9211, can you please give me a link for your other essay (yatta yatta), I can’t seem to find it on your profile. thanks!

No. it is best to leave each essay independent. They have to flow by themselves.

Muhammad was giving an example of what not to say…not talking about himself.

You can assume that these short answers will be read together, so don’t waste words mentioning the other one, just make sure that together they say what you need to say.

Haha, that was a pretty funny misunderstanding.

In this case, maybe not… but one of the Brown supplements does mention that you may “feel free to elaborate on one of your previous responses.” (This is only for people who are choosing to major in a science).

Do you live in Providence? Even if there is a connection, there’s no need to refer back to the previous essay. For example, if you’re trying to say that you lived close by and were able to visit the campus often, I think it’s perfectly fine to say something like “As a Providence resident, I have been able to visit Brown several times, and…” even if this does repeat information in the “where have you lived” essay.

Feel free to send me your essays and i’ll try to help you out since without seeing them, I’m a little confused with how they’re related. (I’m applying to Brown as well, so if you’re uncomfortable sending me the essays that’s perfectly fine. But I’m done with mine and would be glad to help.)

Thank you everybody! I tweaked my essays slightly
but HAHA that was truly a pretty funny misunderstanding XD
