Can i register my classes before orientation? i want to choose my classes asap.

no.

........

depends---if your academic advisor gives you clearance to, you can. otherwise, wait until orientation.

i recommend choosing your classes before you get to orientation... it makes that day so much less stressful. the people who waited til the time to sign up for classes to even look at class descriptions were pretty stressed. you can always change your classes when you get home after orientation. if a class you want is filled at orientation, you can keep checking back to see if a place has opened up.

if you look at the course catalog, you can see what's necessary for your major. you'll mostly be doing gen eds first semester, unless you're in a specialized major.

Probably not. I know I didn't get to sign up for classes until Wednesday before class started (which was Monday) i got alotta left overs but it wasn't bad.

i'd recommend going down the list of Cats 1-4 and choosing a few classes you'd be interested in for each, just in case. you can check on the online schedule of classes to see how full each is and that will get you an idea of how hard it will be to get a space (if a GE is currently closed they will open a FEW spots up for each orientation, but different departments get released to registration at different times, and the system may be overloaded by the time you get set up)

that way you'll have an idea of what you want when you've decided how to schedule your classes with your major requirements

how do I find out who my advisor is?
