I'm planning to apply to about 10 schools give or take 1 or 2, and i do not wish to write that many essays as i am doing early action for all of them. It's not a matter of finding the time, rather, easing the workload, i noticed that the common app has a personal essay in which one of the options is to write about why you intend to major in your chosen area. I have written this essay (if anyone wants to read it i'd be happy to PM, help is appreciated) however when i get to the supplement of each school i also need to write essays for those, but here is my question. If the topic is the same as the personal essay for the common app (most of them are) can i just put the same essay? It is not as if my reason for choosing my major is going to be different a second 3rd or 4th time around.

Absolutely not. Use the essay you wrote for CA for the supplements, and write a new CA essay.

actually…that’s a brilliant idea i did not think of that at all thanks :)
