Can I request a reason/list of reasons as to why I was not accepted?

I received my response from Texas A&M yesterday and I’m having a difficult time understanding why I wasn’t accepted.

I’m a transfer student from a community college with a 3.66 GPA and 61 completed hours, over 2000 hours of paid and volunteer research experience, have presented my research at local science conferences and will soon present at a national conference. I also have just under 100 volunteer hours in a Vet clinic, over 800 recent volunteer hours fostering animals and my essay was at least decent. I am Hispanic and come from a single parent household.

I’m really stressing out over this. The application deadline for most schools has already passed and if I take more credits after this semester, I would have too many credits to be considered a transfer student.

No, I don’t think you can. All that is confidential to the colleges.

You can certainly ask them by calling the admissions office, but I doubt they’ll give you anything useful.

Sure, nothing is stopping u from requesting it. But no school is going to tell u the reason.

Apply somewhere else. Quickly. Aren’t the deadlines usually Nov 1st? Just pull together several more applications.
You sound like a good candidate for a transfer and please do not let this hold you back.

If you can’t apply for spring semester transfer, is there a way you can leave your CC and reapply as a freshman for Fall 2016?

@ad6500 I do not know where you are located. Try UTD have rolling admission and you chance of getting some money is good. The college is in my opinion close to Texas A&M in many programs.
