Hi-
I’m in a predicament and have absolutely no idea what to do. For some reason I completely forgot to submit my ACT score reports to ALL the colleges I’m applying to. Even though I just sent them now, I’m afraid they won’t make it by the deadline (and I did list that I wanted my scores to be considered as part of my app). Does anyone have any advice on what I should do?
For reference, here are the schools I’m applying/applied to:
- University of Kentucky EA (deadline was Dec 1st since I wanted to apply for a merit scholarship. Am I doomed at this point?)
- Princeton RD (deadline Jan 1)
- Vanderbilt RD (deadline Jan 1)
- Colby College (deadline Jan 1)
- Barnard College (deadline Jan 4)
- Kenyon College (deadline Jan 15)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
From your list, only Kentucky and Princeton require official scores sent from ACT. I would pay to send the official scores ASAP. I don’t know about the merit situation at KY…you will need to follow up with admissions next week to figure this out.
The rest of the schools on your list allow self-reported test scores.
Did you report your ACT scores on your Common App, in the testing section? Did you check that you want the schools to consider your test scores? If so, then you should be ok for those schools.
Good luck.

Thank you so much for the advice! I really appreciate it. I did self report for all the schools and marked that I wanted them considered as part of my app, so it’s relieving to hear that the score report won’t affect most of my apps.

I would also email your admissions rep for each school and advise them that you are updating your ACT scores.
