Can I send my acceptance letter/deposit on April 30th via mail?

So that they receive it after the may first deadline? Will they accept me?

Why are you waiting until the 30th?

Schools generally have a deadline of receiving the deposit by May 1st NOT in the mail by May 1st. I don’t think that most will reject a student they wanted for one day difference as to do so will also mean they are rejecting your deposit, something not appealing to schools. That said, I would not mess around with it. Obviously, you’re thinking of messing around unsure about your status and would rather not have the check cashed.

Why would you risk it?

I am just wondering. Of course, it may not be April 30th (4/28 or 4/49). The point is that will a college accept me if they received my letter after the deadline.

My college just says it needs to be POSTMARKED by May 1st…

Personally - I would fedex it if you are waiting that late. What if it gets lost in the mail? What if you don’t realize it has been lost in the mail for a week or two? Why take a chance?

Plus I would email/call Admissions and tell them that you accept.

If you need to wait to the last day, not to worry. There is next day FedEx and next day Express mail and etc. Send it that way. You’ll have a tracking number. It costs less than $20 – a small price to pay for a no hassle experience.
